“I get the normal number of headaches”.
“I get a couple of headaches a week, but they just go away”.
“Sometimes I have to take the day off work because of my headaches”.
As a society, we have normalised headaches as something we all experience at some stage of life, whereas that should not be the case. The symptom of a headache is an indication that something affecting your brain’s ability to function properly. Headaches can occur because of less severe reason such as lack of water or lack of sleep but it can be more serious than that.
There are many different types of headaches, uncomfortable, throbbing and or distracting in nature. Migraines, tension and cluster headaches are to name a few. They can vary in duration, location and intensity but all are a symptom of a lack of ease within the body.
Vertebral subluxation will affect the body’s ability to regulate itself therefore, blood flow and nutrient flow via CFS to and from the brain will be affected. If the body cannot supply the brain effectively, due to interference within the nervous system, then this result in symptoms such as headaches. Understanding if there is interference within your nervous system is the key to managing headache symptoms. We do this through an in-depth analysis of the upper cervical spine and nervous system. If there is interference, then a correction is required.
In some cases, headaches will require immediate medical attention for example if you have a rash, vomiting, slurred speech. Our chiropractors are professionally trained and will refer out immediately if there are any signs of a more sinister headache.
